The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction starts Saturday, January 13 and runs through Sunday, January 21 at Westworld in Scottsdale. There are more than 1,770 cars available in the auction this year.
Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson is expecting big things from this year’s event saying this year’s lineup of cars is the best since 2007. One of the reasons is because the economy is on an doing well right now and that has an effect on the collector car industry. Car collectors and investors have more money, there are more people investing in classic vehicles and there are the people who finally have enough money to buy their dream car.
You don’t need to be a collector or car enthusiast to enjoy the event, though. There’s plenty to see, do, eat and drink for the whole family over the course of the nine-day event.
The weekend of Jan. 13 and 14 is a preview weekend, where all of the cars will be on display and many activities will be happening, but the auction won’t be going on yet. Family Value Day is on Saturday, January 13 with free admission for children ages 12 and younger.
