With the ‘do it yourself’ culture nowadays, many people are wondering, ‘Do I need a real estate agent?’
Let me answer that for you. Here are just a few of the hundreds of reasons why should not go it alone. The most important are:
- We have excellent technology at our fingertips.
- We listen to what your goals are and guide you to achieve them
- Real Estate is our area of expertise
- We have a network of colleagues that work together reaching a lot of potential buyers
Your job is to listen and take our counsel. If you are selling and your agent suggests you do some nominal upgrades such as painting or staging your home which may include putting some furniture in storage and decluttering, it would be smart to listen to them. Our most important job is to help your home appeal to as many potential buyers as possible.
Pricing your home correctly from the start is critical. Your agent will guide you to choose a price that meets your goals but also aligns with what the market is willing to bear. You only have one opportunity to initially list your home with the right price. You do not want to scare potential buyers off due to overpricing. Listen closely to your agent’s advice.
Your agent is often affiliated with larger groups of agent colleagues who may know potential buyers who are looking for a home in your neighborhood.
My promise to my clients is that I am committed to lead, guide and protect them in all my interactions and transactions.
