Scottsdale Airport has unveiled a new two-story, 10,000 square foot operations center that was recognized by the U.S.Green Building Council for its sustainable qualities and received a LEED Silver Certification. The new center is the hub for monitoring daily operations of the airfield and cost $4.9 million.
Scottsdale Airport is undergoing a $27 million renovation that will include two executive hangars built to the LEED energy-efficient design standards of the U.S. Green Building Council, a modern office complex, larger restaurant area, a banquet and meeting facility, a veterans memorial and a parking garage to fully maximize use of airport-owned land, opening in 2018.
