Scottsdale and Gilbert have been ranked among the nation’s best cities to raise a family.
WalletHub said Scottsdale came in at No. 20 on the overall list, while Gilbert was at No. 23.
To determine where each city fell on the list, WalletHub looked at several factors.
Overall health, safety, education, childcare, affordability and social economics.
Both Scottsdale and Gilbert fared very well when it came to the economic side. The median family annual income in Scottsdale is just below $102,000 while Gilbert ranked around $94,000.
Gilbert had the third-highest number of families who have young children with fewest playgrounds per capita while Scottsdale had the lowest number of families with young children of any city on the list.
Other Phoenix-area cities also made the list: Chandler came in at No. 34 overall, while Peoria followed at No. 41.
